Wooden bathtub for two

A marvelous wooden bathtub is a product of handmaking. Made by hand to present a mesmerising blend of wood, resin and steel, using its natural insulation properties and aesthetic appeal to pamper your wellbeing.

It is made from +1000pcs refurbished parquet floor pieces, reclaimed from an 100year old villa. Every piece cut to size and shaped to fit the grand idea that is allegance with comfort.

Wooden pieces have been glued together with a water resistent glue (used in boat industry) and reinforced with steel pins to increase load capacity and structural stability. Those can be seen through the coating as all natural characteristics and/or hand-made imperfections.

Wood has been treated with an antimicrobic sollution (anti algae and anti-fungi), well dried and coated with 5 layers of resin. Resin is a hard-cure 2-component epoxy that does not change color to yellow. It is UV resistant and protects the wood from turning gray over time.

Resin coating is holds water tight and it is certified to be used for food-serving products like cups and beer mugs etc.

Top coat is polished with a shine polish that brings shine and elegance to the product. Structural support (legs) are custom made steel beams, powder-coated in structured black mate color.

Safety overflow is hidden inside the wooden walls and it presents a mastercraft in woodmaking. The drain is thucked and sunked bellow the floor to keep the tub bottom straugt. Its a push-click system, powercoated in structured black matte color.

Outer dimensions are 180x100x120cm, walls and backrests are ergonomically shaped to rest your head on the barroque style soft curved edge.
